Welcome to our 1840 Egyptian Revival Manor House. Solidly built by shipbuilders and once home to a Congressman, this historic home blends grand details with cozy, lived-in charm, from its stately rooms to its quiet corners for reading by the window. Nearly two centuries later, it remains the heart of Sanctuary at Quaker Hill: a place of history, warmth, and welcome.
MAIN FLOOR
Step into a grand hallway lit by chandeliers, where the house unfolds room by room: a gracious Parlor, an inviting Lounge, and a Dining Room with a table long enough for the whole family. The generous kitchen is made for cooking together and lingering over coffee. Tucked beneath the stairs, a hidden bathroom is one of the house’s charming surprises. At the back, doors open onto a sweeping covered patio and backyard, where the house meets the gardens and the open lawn beyond.
SECOND FLOOR
Upstairs, a curved vestibule framed by columns and chandeliers leads to six bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a quiet library, all beneath a beautiful stained glass skylight that fills the landing with soft, colored light.
